On April 19th, 2018 we presented a total of $147,631.51 for 28 grant projects, supporting everything from school volleyball nets to school chromebooks, from mental health training workshops to summer jobs for students, from cardio equipment to audio mixing tables. As of this year we have invested over $3.7 million in our community, and the diversity of our investment over the years is truly astonishing!
As your Community Foundation, we pool the charitable gifts we receive into a permanent, income-earning endowment, which is then held in trust for the benefit of the community. While the capital is not touched, grants are made from the earnings of these funds to seed, nurture and support community initiatives.
The Campbellford/Seymour Community Foundation manages two distinct funding streams for the community:
The Community Fund at the Campbellford/Seymour Community Foundation is used to fund projects that benefit the residents of Campbellford/Seymour through a grant application process.
The Municipal Fund at the Campbellford/Seymour Community Foundation is used for projects determined by The Municipality of Trent Hills.
In addition, we actively encourage the participation of other funding bodies through matching or challenge grants to further increase our impact in the community.
