On May 4th, 2017 we presented a total of $265,000.00 for 30 grant projects, supporting everything from school Canada 150 murals to park playgrounds, from a community tennis court refurb to an extension to the Rotary Trail, from cardio equipment to hockey jerseys, from a kids art camp to a free community Canada 150 concert. As of this year we have invested over $3.5 million in our community, and the diversity of our investment over the years is truly astonishing!
As your Community Foundation, we pool the charitable gifts we receive into a permanent, income-earning endowment, which is then held in trust for the benefit of the community. While the capital is not touched, grants are made from the earnings of these funds to seed, nurture and support community initiatives.
The Campbellford/Seymour Community Foundation manages two distinct funding streams for the community:
The Community Fund at the Campbellford/Seymour Community Foundation is used to fund projects that benefit the residents of Campbellford/Seymour through a grant application process.
The Municipal Fund at the Campbellford/Seymour Community Foundation is used for projects determined by The Municipality of Trent Hills.
In addition, we actively encourage the participation of other funding bodies through matching or challenge grants to further increase our impact in the community.
