This year the Community Foundation provided funding for 28 grant projects totaling $148,337.56. Ten organizations received Community Impact Grants, funded from our Community Fund, for projects that seed, nurture and support community initiatives. Four local schools received HATCH (Helping Assure Tomorrow's Charitable Hearts) Grants, for projects chosen by the students to benefit their school community. We provided funding for six Job Opportunity for Youth grants, to provide summer employment with local not-for-profits for youth in our community. Our new Mini Grants provided funding for four smaller projects from some of our "Field of Interest" Funds - Arts & Culture, Environmental, and Children & Youth in Recreation.
That means we have invested over $3.7 MILLION in our community through our granting program since 2003. We like to think we have touched the lives of practically every resident in our community.
